Shower glass adds an aesthetic appeal to your bathrooms. But, its sole purpose is to prevent water from leaking outside and making the rest of the surface wet. If your shower glass is leaking, then it is not serving the very purpose it was installed for. To prevent this leaking water, pFOkUS has manufactured an impressive range of glass shower enclosures. These enclosures include frameless shower door sweeps, framed door seal, drip rails and shower door thresholds.
Tips to Help you Rectify the Leakage:
Find out the exact place and reason for leakage:
Unless you identify where the water is leaking from, you cannot rectify the problem. Is the frameless shower door leaking from the sides or bottom? Do you find water dripping on the vertical side with hinges? Or do you see that your frameless shower glass door leaks where the door opens? Most shower glass doors leak at the door opening or at the side metal track which is bolted to the glass. This leak could be very marginal, but over a period of time, this leakage could also lead to water stains or mold development.
After having identified the problem, look for a replacement or a shower glass enclosure:
If you think you can call a plumber to add a temporary seal to the leakage area, then the solution will be temporary and will have you racking your brains over it again soon.
Only go for high-quality products if you want permanent solutions:
For a permanent solution, consider replacement of the part or consider investing in a new enclosure that can prevent the leakage. pFOkUS has high quality enclosures made with superb engineering skills and good quality products. We have different varieties of framed and frameless shower enclosures.
Specifications of Shower Door Enclosures from pFOkUS:
Shower Door Sweep:
Our shower door sweeps are manufactured from a high-quality polycarbonate material. Our sweeps feature a unique look and a seamless design that can easily prevent leaks. These sweeps can easily push on the bottom of the glass door as they have strong grip. You can enjoy a dry flooring after using our sweeps. These are available in 7 sizes and in different lengths like 32”, 36” and 98”. If you find gaps between the shower door and seals, you can fix them using shims.
The bottom of the frameless shower door is slightly above the ground level so as to prevent it from scratches. As the water splashes on the door, it runs down and eventually leaks at the bottom. A frameless shower door sweep is made from polycarbonate material that prevents the water from leaking. Our sweeps simply push on to the bottom of the door giving a seamless and unique look.
Framed and Frameless Door Seal:
Frameless Shower Door Seals:
Our frameless door seals are crafted from rubber, vinyl or polycarbonate. We have 12 door seals of different types including pre-taped, push on and others, which require double-sided tape. The seals have slight variations in the materials used, in the way they can be installed or in their width and length. Some door seals come with a bulb-shaped top while some come with a star-shaped top that fits in your door track. Some others also have a T-top. Some sweeps are molded in such a way that they can snap-on rail. You do not need an adhesive for the door seal that pushes over the glass as these can be simply cut according to the height of the door and then pushed onto the side of the door. The pre-taped seals are more preferred options of our shower glass enclosures. The basic price of frameless seals begins at $16.95 with the pre-taped ones costing around $18.95.
Some Important Tips While Installing our Frameless Shower Door Seals:
You will not need any adhesives for fixing glass door seals that push over the glass. You can simply measure the height of your door and cut the seal.
To install the glass door seal on the glass, you need to measure the height and cut the seal accordingly. Most of our seals are pre-taped.
You can also buy our pFOkUS wipe to clean the door etch.
Framed Door Seals:
Our framed door seals are crafted from rubber, vinyl or polycarbonate. Each shower door might have a different seal requirement. We have varied shower door seals made specially for framed shower glass doors. Made with an extremely flexible material, these seals are also very light in weight and remarkably thinner. If you are confused about which door seal to choose for your bathroom, you can use our measuring guide to measure your glass. Most framed glass shower doors are 36” or smaller. The pre-taped seals are more preferred options of our enclosures. We have 7 varieties of framed door seals and each is in a different size. You can also send us pictures of your existing seal and our experts can help you decide which one would suit the best. These are priced at $16.95 each.
Frameless Shower Door Half-Round Threshold:
Our shower door half-round thresholds are engineered from aluminium blocks and feature a seamless design. Our thresholds have the sleekest design and do not ruin the look of your showers. Sometimes, when the gap is too large, you cannot close it with a sweep. Our threshold helps in closing those big gaps. At pFOkUS, we aim at waterproofing glass shower doors. These are available in different colors such as white, gold, brush nickel, chrome and oil-rubbed bronze color.
To fit our thresholds in your glass door, you can simply use a silicone caulk tube. Next, you need to place a bead on both the sides of the threshold and press firmly down. In order to make the threshold fit your door opening, you can use a fine tooth hex saw to cut the aluminium.
Framed Drip Rails:
Our framed drip rails have powerful features such as a built-in bottom seal and endless gutters to direct the water towards the shower drain. They are made from thick aluminum metal. These are available in a variety of sizes, colors and lengths that can easily fit on any size of door. pFOkUS uses powerful machinery and innovative software to come up with the latest and premium quality products. These are available in 32 inches and 36 inches length and in various finishes. All our drip rails are powder coated except the Brush Nickel variety. The cost price of 32 inches drip rail is $39.27 while the 36 inches drip rails cost $44.83.
If you are looking for shower door drip rail replacement, then we carry drip rail replacement seals, which are faster and cheaper than replacing the entire drip rail. Our new material is thinner, lighter and more durable than before. Featuring a clear look, this one is made from a very flexible material.
